Tanda Zap is clinically proven to clear or fade blemishes within 24 hours.  It uses a three treatment approach to get rid of acne blemishes and pimples:

It first produces powerful ultra-violet blue light to kill acne-causing bacteria and then uses gentle vibration and warming that helps to open the pores giving the light access to all the acne bacteria.

The device uses 3 AAA batteries and comes with 3 in the pack.  Although the manufactures say that 1000 uses will only cost 5 cents per treatment but, from reading customer reviews it seems the only bad thing they have to say about the Tanda Zap is that it quickly drains batteries, so it would be advisable to use rechargeable batteries.

The benefits of using the Tanda Zap are:

  • no pain
  • no dryness
  • no irritation
  • immediately starts clearing blemishes and pimples
  • kills acne-causing bacteria
  • effective on all skin types and tones.

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally a quick affordable solution that actually delivers, April 19, 2011

ByAnita
This review is from: Tanda Zap (Misc.)
I suffer from mild acne breakouts and have been using various solutions in the market from proactive to zeno and others. I have seen some results with previous products but was looking for a fast, safe and natural way to get rid of acne blemishes fast…I have only used this system for about 2 weeks but I have to say I am very impressed with the results. The tanda zap is very easy and pleasant to use, small so I can carry it around with me and best of all I can easily see how my zits are fading so much faster. The zit still needs about a full day to clear but that beats the 3-4 days I had to wait before. Highly recommended.

Skinfanatic says “A great product” and gives it 4 out of 5 stars

Pros: Lightweight; Fast; Soothes Skin
I’ve been using the ZAP about a week now. On zits that are already there, the device works well. I found though that if I use the ZAP when I just start to feel something under the skin, it works to keep it from coming up. Definitely a great product.

Acne blue light therapy involves treating the affected area with safe wavelengths of  UV light targeting and killing acne bacteria and healing the skin..  Clearlight therapy is available through dermatologists but is expensive.   Recently though, with the advance in LED technology, reasonably priced blue light therapy lamps and blue light therapy bulbs are available for home use.

How does Acne Blue Light Therapy work?

The ultraviolet spectrum of sunlight has been known for sometime to improve acne conditions due to antibacterial and other effects but unfortunately cannot be used long term because of the damaging effect on the skin.  Studies have since found that some of the visible violet light present in sunlight (in the range 405-420 nm) targets to kill propionibacterium acnes or the bacteria associated with acne.  Use of acne blue light therapy with a light therapy lamp for 3 consecutive days has been shown to reduce bacteria in the pores by up to 99.9% with up to 80% of patients showing overall improvement over 3 months (note it no improvement was found in 10% of patients).

Research has been proven by the July 2000 doctors at Hammersmith Hospital in London (UK) used blue and red light therapy produced by a lightbox on patients with mild to moderate acne for 15 minutes a day over a 12 week period.  The results showed that on average there was a 76% decrease in the number of spots visible in the area treated on these patients.  The trial was led by Doctor Tony Chu who claims that the combination of the red and blue light therapy attacks the bateria contributing to the acne and promotes healing.

Doctor Sadwick wrote that lthough the exact mode of action was still unclear, it was believed that phototherapy destroyed propionibacterium acnes, the slow-growing bacteria linked to acne. Patients in his study used Omnilux Clear-U blue- and red-light therapies. Eight weeks after a month-long treatment course, Sadick said, acne lesions were reduced by 69 per cent.

Acne blue light therapy lamps and light therapy lamp bulbs.

The FDA approved acne blue light therapy use with a light therapy lamp in August 2002.

TAcne Blue Light Therapy 415 38 LED Bulbhe Acne 415 Blue Light Therapy 38 LED Bulbs have a peak wavelength 415nm out of UV range but produce no harmful UV rays.  The bulbs can be used at home in your own household lamp and are easy to use, only requires 15 minutes per day and they are relatively inexpensive.

So if your are looking for a natural solution to your acne free of lotions and chemicals then maybe you should take a look at acne blue light therapy.

Are you looking to get rid of your acne and finally have clear skin that you are not conscious of or embarrassed by?  You have probably tried a multitude of creams lotions and home remedies and still found that you are troubled with acne.  It is not a problem with you that these treatments do not work, you have done everything you can.  The problem is, to get rid of acne the bacteria that is causing the problem it needs to be killed and most creams and lotions just ease the inflammation and clean the pores but do not kill the acne bacteria.  Light therapy may be the answer to your problem as it actually kills the bacteria that causes acne – but, there are two types, Blue Light Therapy and Red Light Therapy, which do i need? you ask.  We will take a look at the two types of light therapy for acne so that you can see which will work for you:

The difference between blue light therapy and red light therapy for acne:

Blue Light Therapy

These devices produce UV Light at peak wavelength 415nm out of the UV range.  The blue light in this wavelength has been proved to have no damaging effects on the skin but research has shown that by localizing it on acne affected skin, the blue light targets to kill propionibacterium acnes the bacteria associated with acne.  Numerous studies have shown this to work and the treatment is FDA approved for mild to moderate acne.  It is also pain free and easy – only requires around 15 minutes of treatment per day.

Red Light Therapy

These devices produce UV light at peak wavelength 660nm out of UV range.  Red light in this UV range has been found to increases the collagen which fills in the fine lines, wrinkles and crow’s feet, but, an added benefit to this is that it also heals acne scars, redness and blemishes.  Red light therapy is totally safe and non-invasive, it just triggers the bodies natural resources to heal itself.

Now you can finally get rid of you acne, pimples and spots.  If you just have mild acne you will probably only need a blue light therapy device.  If you are suffering from acne scarring or blemishes you will need a red light therapy device also, or, you can purchase a combined blue/red light therapy device.
