Dublin, Ireland based company TRIA Beauty’s Tanda at-home acne blue light therapy treatment device has recently been approved with over the counter clearance for home use by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).  The device has been cleared by the FDA for at home treatment for mild to moderate inflammatory acne treatment.

The Tanda uses blue light emitting diodes (LED’s) controlled by a microprocessor and proprietary optics.  The Tanda provides the user with a convenient, quick and easy way to treat acne and also aging skin in the comfort of their own home.

Although there are a number of other acne blue light therapy treatment devices on the market, TRIA claims that the Tanda is 10 times more powerful than the competition and this results in less treatment time and more rapid clearance of acne lesions.

Clinical trials by leading dermatologists have shown results that the Tanda blue light treatment device when used twice a day for two to three minutes cleared acne breakouts just as fast and effectively as the professional blue light therapy devices used in dermatology clinic.
